Which software is needed to run on PC for NAS access
« on: April 27, 2009, 12:45:36 PM »

I have a NAS LS-CHL 1 TB. At this time everything is working OK. The NAS is auto power and the PCs are turning ON/OFF the NAS properly. I would like to know the purpose of the following 3 program/service that are loaded on my PC. Also, which one is required in order to properly wake-up and keep alive the NAS.

Here are the three process:

NASNAVI2.EXE: NAS Naviator 2

NASSVC.EXE: NAS Power Management Service

NASSCHE.EXE: NAS Function Scheduling Application

Anyone can tell me the purpose of these process?

Thanks

The processes of NASSVC and NASSCHE are both dependent of the NASNAVI2 programs. Basically, they run as a process tree. If the NASNAVI2 process is terminated then the other two go away as well, however you will lose the auto power down/up function.
