RAID is not a replacement for a backup! Here's why.
Hi everybody!
I have destroy my linkstation but i have save the disk.
I had a RAID 1 configure.
Now i wold like to mount disk via USB but i don't know the filesystem type.
Can anyone help me?
Thx
It is xfs, you would need a linux or ubuntu os to view your xfs file system disk.
Just plug in one of the hdd into a system installed with linux OS.
It will mount and you will be able to see abt 4-5 drives.
One of them contain your data.
The rest are just parts of the firmware.
UFS explorer worked for me. My usb backup drive partion was corrupted after my LS-W1.0tg/r1 Buffalo Linkstation pro in Raid 1 went down. The data recovery product recovered about 90% of my back up data.
After I opened up the NAS, I plugged one drive into a USB enclosure and my partitions were still good, so the usf explorer recovered all(100%)my data to my windows machine. Four Stars!
