TeraStation Live "2010-bug" ?

Hello,

my TeraStation Live HS-DHTGL/R5 2.14 did a good job until 31.12.2009.
Since 1.1.2010 I have to reboot the NAS after a few hours uptime.

Do you have similar problems?
Could it be a "2010-bug"?

 

There is nothing special in the system log.

This is the first post reguarding this issue so no this is not a "bug".  What firmware version do you have and what is the date, time and GMT set to?

Hello,

 

My firmware is 2.14 for TS Live (released 2008/05/01).

 

Two days ago I set the date to 2009/12/29, to check if it would work in 2009.

But the station also become unreachable after one hour :smileysad:

 

This doesn't prove the "2010-bug" theory, so maybe my good old station is just defect :smileysad:

 

I'm just now transfering the data to another NAS and will do some more tests afterwards.

You should really try to flash the firmware again and see if could just be something as simple as corruption in the firmware.  Also try to Reinitlize the unit through the Web Admin.  Maintence>Initilization>Restore.

I've reflashed the firmware yesterday and the station is has been running now for 24h without any more problems :smileyvery-happy:
