Itunes only Recognising 'share' Folder.
« on: July 28, 2009, 05:38:58 AM »

Hi,

I have just bought a Linkstation Live LS-CHL because of the itunes feature. I copied all my music >40,000 songs. (it took ages) to a shared folder called 'Music'. i then opened itunes and it did not display any of my music that was on the drive, in itunes it came up with the shared folder on the left, 'LS-CHL5C0: Linkstation', but there was no music in it. so i decided to expieriment, i placed some music in the 'share' folder and in a 'Movies' folder. only the song in the 'share' folder appeared in iTunes. does this mean that there is no way to pick up music from different shared folders? if there is i would love to know, because copying all my music to the 'share' folder would take ages, and id quite like it to stay where it is, in a 'music' folder.

Is there any solution to this?

Any help will be greatly appriciated,

Thanks

Ali

Make sure the media server is enabled, and if it is, it needs to point at that "music" share you created, by default I think it points at share.
