Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with my LS-CHL1.0T (Live v.3). If someone finds a solution, I would be very grateful.

-LS is blinking blue constantly after I turn it on.

-It does not turn off from the switch

-I can access the setup menu with a browser, when the LS is connected to my router (its IP is 192.168.11.6 (manually set in the router)

-Reset and initialization in the setup menu does not help

-I can't access it, when it is connected directly to my PC (I tried also cross coupled cable and set the LAN port IP address to 192.168.11.1 in windows XP)

-Nasnavigator and LSupdater do not find the LS in any case

-TFTP program does not see the LS either.

-LS went broken after a power failure

Might I suggest that with a different device that you post your own thread? Different devices will confuse the situation that is being handled. What firmware version shows up in your NAS Navigator?

Nas Navigator does not find my linkstation. Anyhow LS has FW version 1.02.

Sorry about the late reply, zeizei79. You've tried all the troubleshooting steps that we would have done, so I recommend contacting us for a replacement.

Hi Zei,

I came across the same situation too on my LS-CHL.

Firstly, do you have any data in the LS-CHL?

If no then probably you can try this method.

It works for me after I managed to test it out many times.

You computer's IP is 192.168.11.1.

Connect lan cable to LS-CHL.

Make sure LS-CHL is switched off.

Press and hold onto function button in front of unit.

Power/Switch on the unit.

Keep holding onto function button for abt 10-15seconds.

Let go of function button while function button/led is flashing.

Wait for 10 seconds then press and hold onto function button until Power LED stops blinking

Then wait for abt 10 seconds then press on function button again for abt 10 seconds then let go.

Power LED will be blue then will turn red/pink then back to blue. Takes abt 20-30 seconds for these to happen.

Function LED will still blink. Wait for it to stop.

Once it has stop blinking, anf the Power LED is blue and not blinking, you can run the Nas Navigator to see if it can be detected.

Once it can be detected, yu will see that it is in EM mode.

Update the LS-CHL with the latest firmware.

Good luck!

Hello everyone,

I already managed to get the linkstation to the EM mode with the information I got in this forum. It works now well and I have made backup copies of everything. Thank you!

Yo Carlos,

You have to use the TFTP method.

Read the stickies in the Storage main menu.
