TS-HTGL/R5 F/W 1.33 - NFS configuration - urgent
« on: April 15, 2009, 04:50:25 AM »

Hello,

I want to configure the NFS service.

I have to fill out to fields:

1. Network Address

2. Subnet Mask

My Question: Is t possible to define a complete range, for example: 192.168.0.0/16 with subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

or is only one single IP-Address possible?

thank you for your support

regards

Andreas

In the Web Interface, click on NFS, it brings you to the Service subcategory.

  • NFS Function: Enable
  • Network Address: IP address of the Terastation
  • Subnet Mask: subnet mask of the Terastation
  • Click Apply.

Click on the Folders subcategory.

  • Check the boxes next to the folders with which you want to use NFS, then click Apply.

Click on the Registration subcategory.

  • Target Host Name: NFS client's hostname (computer name)
  • Target IP Address: NFS client's IP address
  • Click Add Target Client.
That's the extent of the setup here. Single address in the NFS tab only.

andi025, I just tested this, and it looks like you can define an allowed full subnet for the NFS Network Address.

Hi,

following Information:

I have stoped the copy job and tested the configuration.

Following situation:

1. when I make it so how Jason has described it didn't work.

2. Solution (for me)

  • NFS Function: Enable
  • Network Address: IP address of the subnet (192.168.0.0)
  • Subnet Mask: subnet mask of the subnet (255.255.0.0)
  • Click Apply.

every client in this subnet can mount the share now. The client registration is not needed to configure.

regards

Andreas

Good to hear. It's odd that the client registration doesn't work... It works on our machine.
