LS-XHL - Jumbo Frames

I have been experimenting a bit with the Jumbo Frame Feature, it seems that I get the best transfer rate at the default setting of 1518. NIC and switch both support Jumbo Frames. Anyone out there figure out optimal settings?

This is entirely down to your network topology. If your gigabit network supports Jumbo frames then you will see a sizeable increase in transfer rates, if not you linkstation might crash from your network altogether.

After testing all jumbo frame possibilities it is evident that the default, smallest jumbo frame size produces the optimal transfer rate. Unfortunately after around 5 MB sized files, caching on the drive no longer works, hence the larger jumbo frame feature is useless. Some comprehensive testing has been done by the reviewer below:
