Linkstation Quad LS-Q1.0/R5 default admin password stopped working..

I never changed the default admin password, however, now it has mysteriously locked me out. I have tried the reset to default procedure; power off, hold function button > press power button > hold function button for 6 seconds. It has not worked for me.

 

Any ideas?

   Still can't solve this one, please help!

You can try to set the unit back to factory defaults and flash the firmware, however if the setting was selected to not default the password for the admin settings then its not possible to unlock it.  You can send it in for an RMA we can burn in a new image to the machine to set it back.

   I was able to install the newer firmware to it with the buffalo utility. Solved.
