The iSCSI Hard Disk might not be registered.
« on: February 18, 2009, 04:08:42 PM »

I keep getting "The iSCSI Hard Disk might not be registered." error each time I try to Register the iSCSI hard disk.  I have downloaded and installed the latest Microsoft iSCSI Initiator (2.08 Build 3825).

I tried uninstalling iSCSI Initiator and the Buffalo Hard Disk Connection Tool, rebooting the computer, and installing it again.  But I keep getting this same error message.

The drive's IP address are properly detected by the Configuration Tool and the iSCSI Initiator, but the Initiator does not have any Targets listed.

Any thoughts?

Usually this is caused by the Terastation not having a volume created yet, which can be done in the setup volume section of the web interface.  If you have you may want to just delete the volume you have then create a new one, then point the initiator at the terastation's ip again and see if there is a target.  Keep in mind that deleting the volume will wipe out any data you have stored on that volume.

That was correct.
