LinkStation Pro Duo does not work in Auto Power Mode
« on: February 16, 2009, 11:54:34 AM »

Hi @ all,

- LinkStation Pro Duo LS-WTGL/R1 Firmware 3.07

- 100 MBit/s - LAN

- Netgear Switch connects PC with LinkStation

- Windows Vista 32bit

- NAS Navigator Ver. 2.11

My LinkStation has three power modes. "Auto", "On" and "Off".

When I switch to "On", the LS powers up.

When I switch to "Auto", the LS keeps on. If I turn off my PC, the LS turns off, too.

If I turn on my PC again, the LS seems to turn on, too. But there is no ping and the NAS Navigator doesn't show the LS in the list.

In this case, I have to switch off the LS by cutting off the power supply, otherwise it doesn't respond.

Is this a known problem? Can I fix it with a firmware update?

Does anyone have the same problem?

Thanks for your answers...

There is a new firmware that just came out that addresses some power setting issues.  Check it out at our downloads.

Which firmware version do you mean? Is it 3.09?

This download: http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/getfile/?LS-WTGL-V3_FwUp_309.zip ??

I updated firmware (3.09) and it works!

I hope, this is not only a one-time-function...

I will check and observe this some time...
