when mine asked me for a password I used the username and password i had setup with the web tool.  But I believe the default username is admin and there is no password.  Did you try that?

i have never been able to get into the webadmin.

i cant format the drive to fat untill i get access to the webamin page.

iv tried to get in with http://192.168.11.150/

and tried HD-CELU2-6AE5

i just cant get it to show the page.

when i use the veiw information on the cd it looks like it finds the drive because it returns that info.

since the drive is unalocated i cant map it.

I am using a router.  The first time I tried to search for mine it also gave me that unreachabe IP address you got.  The I removed the network cable from my router and plugged it back in and it rest the ip address.  to 192.168.1.2 and I was able to now get into the web tool to format it.

I am still hoping I will be able to format this stuff with NTFS and use it on the LAN.  If not I think i just got something that will not be of use to me.

The unit has to stay fat32 to keep both functions, the operating system on the unit is Linux and can not run in NTFS.

i had to set my ip jmanualy to match the drive then

i got access to the webadmin and did the format.

then i had to hook up the cable modem and let comcast set my ip by there dhcp server.

then i had to set my ip manualy to regain access to the webadmin to change the ip of

the unit to match my ip group and subnet.

now i can access it but the other computer that has its own ip cant see it now.

At least i know the drive is working right, i just have to go study up on networking and try to

get both computers connected without using a router.

Thanks for all the help paul :)

is it at least possible to format the drive in ext3 or any other filesystem of Linux?
