I am running several machines - XP with current Sp, Vista also current, and a Mac with OSX 10.4. The removable hard drive is recognized as being installed but no drive letter is assigned, on the Windows machines, on the Mac the icon does not appear (I have done the reboot holding down the apple etc. and the three beeps).
What can I do to make the machine assign a drive letter on the windows machines and make the icon appear on the Mac. The solution should be simple because the drive is worth far less than screwing up the machines.
