LS 500 GL Hard Drive failure
« on: December 21, 2008, 10:16:02 PM »

My hard drive started clicking and I got the error light flashing, have removed the hard drive and checked it on my pc and it is bad. I put a new hard drive in the box and now am getting no connection and the utilities cannot find the NAS at all and I get the blink for cannot recognize hard drive. What should I do at this point beyond going and buying a new NAS?

You have to run the TFTP boot option to load the boot files on the new drive.
