Hello ;

(I'm french guy, sorry for my bad english & I undersand correctly)

I have a problem with my linkstation pro on windows XP : when I added a shared folder FTP with restriction enable, I can't access at my shared folder in windows explorer without a popup : windows ask me login and password.

And I don't have any idea of what I could write ! I've enter my login admin with basic password but I can't access at my folder.

Can anyone help me please?

I didn't find a solution in knowledge base...

Thanx

You have to add a user with in the user managment

in the share folder set up you have give that user rights to read/write

you can now use the user name you created to view the drive.

if you dont want to be prompted map a drive via IP

my computer--> tools --> map network drive

share     \\IP_of_NAS\folder_name
