Lost my Linkstation
« on: September 18, 2008, 01:30:05 PM »

Hi,

I have a NAS Linkstation (called now LS-GL-EMF11 but that i had named MEDIADISK) and it has been working great until last week.

Before i left on vacation, i turned all the drives down.

Since, i came back from vacation, and turn them back on but this one has never come back to life.

From the outside, it all looks fine though.

When i launch the BUFFALO NAS Navigator. It finds my other Buffalo drives, and then it finds a  LS-GL-EMF11 with an IP address, a subnet and a mac address but the workgroup says unknown and my Drive is no longer called mediadisk but LS-GL-EMF11, also the firmware field is blank.

On the setup menu all menus except "change IP address" are greyed out and there seem to be nothing i can do to bring this drive alive ....

WHAT Should I DO?

Please help!

Kind regards,

k

Paul

This is an easy fix, go to http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads/

Down load a new firmware by the model number of your device.  Unzip the file and simply run the .exe file.

This will fix your issue
