I had same problem. I set up an extra wired wifi router close to the printer. Also, I reset the internet modem, had the ip provide a reset from their end to make the signal stronger, and I reset the WHR-G300N V2 so that the printer is my fourth ip on listed items by assigning it a new port and deleting the auto assigned port. It then automatically reassigned to itself the mfr name of printer. Now it all works great, no dropout.
This took a lot of work to figure out and I just got lucky.
