Dear all,

I'm experiencing trouble when installing Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit using DVSM-PC58U2V on DELL Inspiron 13Z (OS-less, driveless).

I've changed the BIOS setup to ATA or AHCI, and changed the disc with another disc of Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, but still it says "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing...." on the installation drive selection menu.

Please help.

Thanks.

  • Life would be easy if we only had the source code!
    • Let me show you how to google
Have you tried downloading the cd image from buffalo and then try installing the software that way?

If yes can you give me the vendor id/device id and i will gladly try to find you a generic driver that will work as the buffalo dvd units usually use LG, or some other company parts in it. Some are just branded differently with a few tweaks...

Product page:
http://www.buffalotech.com/products/optical-drives/mediastation/mediastation-8x-portable-dvd-writer-with-led-power-indicator
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
