Curious .... DDR3 memory lifetime warranty still valid (USA)?
« on: January 08, 2011, 01:05:56 PM »

Hi ,

I know Buffalo has left the USA desktop memory market (shame too)  , but curious if the lifetime warranty is still valid in the USA ?

*To note , Iam not asking about a needed rma , as my memory is running/working just fine  ; just wanted to know if my D3U1333-T6G/BR (DDR3 DIMM PC3-10700 1333MHz 6 GB ,3 x 2 GB  is still covered (Iam the original owner , purchased from Amazon).

Thanks , stereo55

yes, Buffalotech USA honors the limited lifetime memory warranty for specific memory purchased in the USA or Canada. See our warranty page on www.buffalotech.com for details.

As we do not manufacture memory in the USA, since Sept 2009, we test the returned memory and if found defective, we will send a check for the current replacement cost of comparable memory, using memoryx.com as the cost basis. The amount of the check does not include tax or shipping.
