LPv3-U2 Print Server / HP Office JET 4500

I have tried everything but can not seem to get the printer to work.  Please help.

 

Windows 7 home

 

printer prints fine by USB to computer

but can not get printer server to work.

Do you know the ip addess that the printer gets when using the print server?

I am having this exact problem.

1. I can print from USB to an HP OfficeJet 45xx

2. I can get to the print server's web page

3. When I look at the Management -> System Information page on the print server, I see: "Printer Status: Printer Error", even if I power-cycle the printer

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
