DriveNavigator setup failed on Windows Vista
« on: June 30, 2010, 07:53:51 AM »

Since we had a power outage a couple of weeks ago my Buffalo BR-816SU2 has not been recognized by the "found new hardware wizard" using the DriveNavigator disk. It was working perfectly well. It powers up, but it is not being recognized by my computer using a usb connection. After trying to connect it to different computers and trying different usb cables, I'm still not able to figure out what might have gone wrong. Is there a chance the power outage caused by the storm could have ruined the usb port? My Buffalo BR drive was connected to a Belkin power surge protector. If any one has any suggestions, please help. Thanks.

Does it show up in disk management (right click on computer and go to manage > disk management)?
