Intel 945g graphic card
« on: May 19, 2010, 12:05:42 AM »

My HP Pavilion a6010n with Intel 945g graphic card (version 6.1.7600.16385)  will not play BLU-RAY Movies. My BR-X816U2 has error message as disc starts to load.

Is there a driver to make BR-X816U2  compatible with Intel 945g graphic card.  The current driver is Intel 82945g Express Chipset Family Version 8.15.10.1912

Try using the HP driver update tool to see if your HP drivers are up-to-date.

The Intel® 945G Express Chipset delivers outstanding system performance through high-bandwidth interfaces such as dual-channel DDR2 memory, 1066/800 MHz system bus, PCI Express* x16 graphics port and PCI Express* x1 I/O ports, Serial ATA 3.0 Gbps and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity.

He may be using the 945g motherboard, which may support the PCI express x16 interface, but the INTEGRATED graphics chip is probably not beefy enough to handle Blu-Ray.

TomH, I would go to Cyberlink's website and download their BD Advisor software, which can be found here, and verify that your system can support Blu-ray playback.
