Buffalo LPV3-UP2 vs. HP LaserJet 1020 problem
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:47:48 PM »

i just bought the Buffalo print server, and had a major pain getting it to take a static IP.  The application that shipped with it would turn 192.168.10.201 into 192.168.11.222, no matter what I did.  Grabbing the version of the utility from the website helped.

However, I now have the problem that my printer is not recognized by the Buffalo print server, according to the utility (Printer state is offline).  HP's website shows this printer is USB2.0, and this printer was working fine while connected to a Linux and Windows machine directly.

Any assistance how I can fix this is appreciated.  If I can't make this work, I have no use for this product and will need to return it.
