Firestix FSX800D2C-1G, One Stick Unstable
« on: August 21, 2009, 08:16:05 AM »
   Athlon 3400+ (Windsor)
MSI K9N Ultra (nForce 570, AM2)
2 x Firestix FSX800D2C-1G at 2V

The system ran stable for quite a while, but I began to run into stability issues recently. This prompted me to run a series of checks, upon which I stumbled upon the memory not passing Windows Memory Diagnostics (sorry memtest, that was preinstalled with Win7). Setting mem clocks back to 533 Mhz did not help matters.

Swapping sticks around revealed that the culprit was just the one stick.

Please suggest something else that I can try. Btw, can I rma just that one stick?

Thanks.

It would be nice if you post it also here so that everyone can see? :) Just a suggestion.

RMA request forms are available on the Buffalotech.com website for USA/Canada customer.  He only needed to RMA a single stick and needed to provide contact info that didn't need to be put on the forums.
