Buffalo Firestix FSX1066D2C-K4G 4GB 2X2GB PC2-8500 DDR2-1066 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200RPM

Gigabyte MA790GP-UD4H AMD790GX ATX AM2+/AM3 Sideport CrossFireX Motherboard
Corsair TX650W 650W Power Supply
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Quad Core Processor AM2+ 3.0GHZ 8MB Cache

Cpu is not overclocked everything stock.  I set the memory to 1066 and I get into Windows Vista 64bit ultimate fine but I get random blue screen saying page fault problem.  How should I set my ram settings?  It is at 2.1volts.

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8688/img5913.jpg DDR2 1066 Unganged Mode, 64-bit not sure if this is correct for dual channel?

http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/2351/img5912.jpg I set the timings manually and i get that problem.  If i leave it on auto then everything is fine.  Auto the timings are not right though.

1) It doesn't look like memtest86 2.1 can read your MB properly. -img244 is showing CL3-5-1 DDR1, and it should show 5-5-5 DDR2.

2) You need CPC to be on OFF, or 2T timing and Minimum RAS active time=18.

3) There are varying opinions on whether ganged/unganged gives better or worse bandwidth, depending upon the CPU. This is set in the BIOS. You have to use the same color memory sockets for ganged and you need to try some benchmarks to verify which is faster with your CPU.
