My computer will not boot with this device plugged into a USB port in my Asus P5gGC41C-m XP SP3

My system has been very inconsistant in recognizing the adapter. Sometimes I get a dingdong when I plug into some ports but not others. Sometimes in Device mamager it comes up as a network device that can't start with the yellow exclamation mark. , ucgnsta.sys driver 1.02.03.0000 Device instance USB\VID_0411&PID_0158\1.0

It sometimes shows up as an unknown USB devce.

It always glows blue.

I got it to work ONE TIME and a bunch of wireless networks were in range. After that my system would not boot with the device plugged in anywhere.

If I plug it in after booting a popup says to plug it into a high speed USB port. They are ALL USB 2.0

I suspect it draws too much power through the port. Wish I had my money back but I was 3 days late in asking for a refund and the vendor said "sorry".

I tried it in another computer with Windows 7. When I try to install the Buffalo software, it tells me to connect the Buffalo wireless client. When I do windows tells me USB device not recognized.

I put everything in the email as instructed and I don't have the time to wait on the phone for my turn to repeat everything again. It is also posted here. Please respond to the email as promised.

The thing is dead.

to what email address did you send your email response - I can find it, figure out the hold-up on answering, and have the support team prioritize it.

I'm not seeing an email with the address you used for registering on the forums, coming in through info2@buffalotech.com. Did you use a different email - if so, please PM with it so I can find your email request.

I jumped through the hoops and waited on the phone and waited and finally got an RMA. RM51480

Then I jumped through the RMA hoops and mailed the thing back first class mail Friday March first 10:53 AM.

When I go to the RMA page it says they have not received it.

"You provided a valid RMA number, but our records do not yet indicate that it has been received at the Buffalo warehouse.

It may take 24-48 hours to fully receive your RMA into the system."

I apologize about not answering sooner - I've been in and out of the office this week - not an excuse, just the reason for not being on my computer much this week. Our database shows your product was received on 3-11 and the replacement is on the fedex truck for delivery to you, today. Tracking number is 081741615970214.
