WZR-HP-AG300H setup with Novatel MC760 (Virgin Wireless) 3G usb modem

I have a WZR-HP-AG300H  with DD-WRT v24SP2-MULTI (06/03/12) std - build 19154 firmware. I've not been able to find any clear instructions for setting it up to use a Virgin Mobile 3G Novatel MC760 USB modem for an alternative or failover internet connection. There isn't anything specific in the router manual so I thought I'd post the question here and see if anyone can be of help.

First thing Email support and Ask them if your Usb 3G modem is compatible or not?
