WZR-HP-G450H won't stay connected to wired cascaded router
« on: August 04, 2012, 04:12:26 PM »

Equipment is : WZR-HP-G450H running DD-WRT  build 18795

                          Linksys WRT54GL running DD-WRT

I have the Buffalo WZR as my main router.  Wan is connected to Viasat Surfbeam 2 Satellite modem.  Lan connection from WZR to Linksys WRT54GL Lan.  Buffalo has ip set to 192.168.0.1, DHCP server enabled, external switch set to router.  Linksys is set to 192.168.0.254, DCHP server disabled, firewall disabled, wireless radio off ( to eliminate that as a cause of this issue).  Both have same subnet mask.  After setting up the linksys and connecting it to the Buffalo, rebooting both, they connect fine. About 40-60 minutes being connected the Linksys gets droped and I can not connect to it >  It also does not show up as an active client on the Buffalo.  Any ideas what could be causing this?  I have done a 30-30-30 reset on both routers and upgraded the Linksys with newer firmware as it was doing this on older Tomato firmware also.
