Recently i bought a router, WCR-GN. But it didnt works with my iPod2G/iPod3G/iPod4G/ Iphone4/ iPhone3GS/ Samsung GalaxyS2/ Motorola Atrix and iPad2 via Wifi. It will just keep connected wirelessly but actually the wifi will automatically swiched off after several minutes. I have to switch off the wifi in the iphone and turn it on again to gain access to internet for 5minutes. I have to repeat the same step every 5 minutes to keep the wifi awake.

Since then I changed my ISP as well but the problem still exists so this is not the problem of my ISP.

Then i decided to buy the other one, with the same model, WCR-GN. Unfortunately the same issue remains. I've updated it to the newest firmware as well. I sent the router to the Buffalo repair centre but the testing result is possitive - The wifi is good, tested with a Acer laptop, not iPod.

It wasted me money, seriously.

if you cant work with iPod just put a label on the box "Works perfectly expect iPod". I found this is misleading.

Oh ya, i found someone who got similar issue as me. Take a look.

Legal action would be taken if no solution is provided.

??????This is also a problem with the WZR-HP-AG300H. I would suspect the WZR-HP-G300NH as well, of which I own both. I recently upgraded to the ????WZR-HP-AG300H due to it being Dual-Band/Radio. I have several devices in my home that utilize the 5GHz band as well as the 2.4GHz. I was forced to downgrade the WRT firmware on this unit to the "Friendly" to get Buffalo's WLI-TX4-AG300N to actually perform correctly in the 5GHz mode. The firmware on the WLI-TX4-AG300N is sketchy at best and with the DD-WRT firmware it is very poor. With the Friendly firmware, it actually performs pretty well. The problem I have is as the originator of this post pointed out. This week my family and I (4 of us) upgraded our phones to the new Motorola Droid 3, obviously Android base. When at home we TRY to use the Wi-Fi from the WZR-HP-AG300H, and can, for a short period of time, then it drops. Sometimes we can disable the Wi-Fi on the phones and then re-enable, but this isn't always successful. I've tried setting the unit to On for Router and establishing DHCP to acquire an IP from my ISP but this didn't really help, as suggested from Buffalo Telephone support. We have notice that this is something specific to the Wireless side of the device as all Hard Wired clients continue to operate just fine, just our Droid 3 phones, Laptops and my wife's iPAD stop working. I totaled up the devices acquiring IPs within my home and we're in the ballpark of 22. I thought that maybe there was a limitation on the device but according to Buffalo Telephone Tech Support, this is not the case. I'm allowing the default allowance of 64 Address to be given out. This really sucks as I have loved Buffalo products back to the one they got in a lawsuit over, which I also owned. I ran SVEASOFT on that router and it rocked. Steps I've taken to troubleshoot include:

Router Mode On

Established DHCP for WAN connection

Set 20Mhz Channel, not Auto or 40MHz for the N,B,G connections

I just want to report to Buffalo that I have the exact same problem and this is how I found the post that I am replying to.  This crappy router requires me to disconnect and reconnect every 5 minutes.  Internet just hangs then I have to disconnect and reconnect and almost just as often, I need to unplug and plug it back in to get the repeater mode to work.  Problem occurs with IBM T60 laptop with windows XP, ubuntu, and android xoom, as well as droidX.

How a product like this is released without identifying this very obvious connectivity issue is beyond me.  I would like my money back too please.

(with regards to legal action... that's an empty threat.)

I have pretty much the same issue with my Atrix 4G; however, after four or five times of manually reconnecting and re-entering my password, it wil stay connected for several hours.  My other problem is that my Dell laptop with a N wireless board also drops the connection, but no more than once or twice a day.  It will not reconnect until I have rebooted the router.  Then of course the Atrix refuses to reconnect.  Now the perplexing part, my wife has an iPhone 3GS and an iPad (ver 1).  Both of these items have never disconnected.  I hope there is an answer to this soon or I will return the router....

I also have this exact issue, and it is really driving me nuts. I have to restart my router almost any time that i want to connect with a mobile device,. Looks like since theres not a fix, i'll have to go back to my old non N router. We really need a fix for this.
