Accessing windows folders from VPN client
« on: May 29, 2012, 03:36:42 PM »

I have set up a VPN on my WHR-HP-G300N and can access my network from my Windows 7 client.  I can ping the devices on my network but cannot "see" them under "Network" on my Windows 7 VPN client.  I want to be able to access folders on my devices like my NAS and other PCs on the network.

What do I need to setup to do this?

Router: WHR-HP-G300N

Firmware: DD-WRT v24SP2-EU-US (05/25/11) std - build 17135

Remote Client: Dell Inspiron, WIndows 7

Thanks

What IP address range is the VPN server assigning the clients? is it in the same subnet as the local PCs?

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebnetworks.com and we will get it fixed!

IP ranges, I think that is the problem but not sure how to solve.  The instructions said not to have the IP ranges overlap.  This is what I have:

Local IP: 192.168.11.1 - 64

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

DHCP Server: 192.168.11.2 - 64

VPN Server: 192.168.11.1

VPN clients: 192.168.11.65 - 70
