DD-WRT firmware for G450?
« on: October 10, 2011, 10:32:54 PM »

Hi,

Where do I get DD-WRT firmware for G450H?

The one on the downloads page is Buffalo firmware, and DD-WRT 'router database' does not contain any information on G450.

Thanks!

Should be on the CD that came with your unit.

I do not think so, no.

I have applied the Buffalo firmware, and now I cannot use generic dd-wrt per-sp2 (invalid firmware message).

What the fook did I buy?

you can only use the default Buffalo DD-WRT firmware (Professional Firmware) that came with the CD. I don't belive there is a compatible generic DD-WRT firmware on the DD-WRT website yet. In fact, I think the Wiki for the G450H still says "coming soon".

The professional firmware that came with the router IS a DD-WRT firmware and performs all the same functions.

Uh yes, it IS on the CD that came with your unit. There is no generic dd-wrt image for that router, its build is specially built for that unit, and there is only 1, and its on the CD that came with your unit.
