Require Step by Step guide to use WHR-HP-GN as an AP
« on: September 07, 2011, 04:40:41 AM »

A friend of mine has a dsl router that was provided to him by the Internet Service Provider. However, since he lives in a villa / bungalow he requires internet access throughout and therefore he purchased a DLink un-managed 16port switch along with 12 units of Buffalo WHR-HP-GN high speed router + access point. He requires these units to work as APs. Therefore, the setup will be as follows : the 16port switch will be connected to the DSL router and the 12 units will be connected to the switch via ethernet cables. I was given to understand that I've got to go into the setup of Buffalo & uncheck the DHCP in order for it to work as APs. Are there any additional configuration that requires to be executed for the smooth distribution of the internet access from the main DSL router to all of the APS via the 16port switch?? Would appreciate the guidance & assistance of all you geniuses out here.
