Port forwarding works on Windows, not on Ubuntu
« on: June 28, 2011, 09:38:26 AM »

I have a WZR-HP-300NH router with DD-WRT firmware.

I can get port forwarding to work for RDP (Port 3389) to my windows server, but I can't get port 80 or any other ports to forward to my Ubuntu server.  I verified that the firewall on Ubuntu server is disabled.  also, as a test, I opened up port 80 to my windows server just fine.

Can you think of a reason why port forwarding to my ubuntu server just won't work?  I had it working when I was on 10.10 but for some reason, it's not working on 11.04.

Thanks for your ideas on this!

You may need to add a loopback code for it, please refer to this post for more info...
