Slow wired transfer on a WZR-HP-G300NH
« on: March 16, 2011, 07:47:30 AM »

Hi everyone,

I have several computers connected to a WZR-HP-G300NH (v1.77) router. I am trying to move quite a lot of data over the lan and noticed that in any direction tranfer rate tops at 8MB/s (average 7.60).

Considering the amount of data that I have to move, it is going to take days!

Isn't that a bit slow considering that all computers are using gigabit connections and all hard drives are at least sata 300?

Is there a way to improve the transfer rate?

Thank you

hum...

Maybe a couple of you guys who have this router could simply indicate the transfert rate achieved within your local network. That would already help to know if the rate I get is normal...

Thank you.

Buffalo Linkstation Live: read 13.9MB/s,  write 9.4MB/s

Lacie Network Space: read 9.7MB/s, write 4.9MB/s

All via WZR-HP-G300NH as a router with gigabit lan.

Won't become any faster bypassing the router and connecting directly to computer...

How do you know it's not your computers being slow?

Try bypass the router and see what kind of speeds you get then.
