WZR-HP-G300NH wireless radio checkbox question?

Hi, I see there is option to check or uncheck the wireless radio checkbox on wireless config screen.

 

Does this means that transmitter is turned off or just nobody is allowed to connect?

This router has very strong transmitter is there a way to reduce power?

you can turn the transmitter off and depending on if your using the ddwrt firmware you can limit tx power.
