I'm afraid I don't understand your question completely.  What do you mean by "SMTP Mail Format?"

The biggest problem users face when setting up SMTP is the requirement that you must use an SMTP server that does not require a username and password in order to send mail.  If the SMTP server you are using needs a login to allow mail to be sent, the Mail Notofications will not be able to send.

The smtp in my mail client (outlook) is mail.btinternet.com

The LS wants the IP and not as above

So assuming the IP was 111.111.22.1 (which it isnt)

How would it be entered

I use smtp.charter.com and it works without user name or password.

This is my ISP, and because I'm connected using their cable, it somehow knows it is OK with out further authentication.  In my Outlook, I use smtp.charter.com plus user name and password.  In LincStation Pro Duo, smtp.charter.com was all I needed.

Try using smtp.btinternet.com if this is your ISP.

To be honest I have giuven up - I Do have email that needs to be (as wit all BT) athenticated on its outgoing - so I assume thats the problem.

Having said that others dont experience the problem -

I only updated the firmware recently.

Cant get the FTP access to work either
