300GNH-Problems when connecting a LAN Switch
« on: October 13, 2010, 10:25:44 PM »

My installation is as such Cable Modem->300GNH->Hardwire 4 port Switch->Hardwire 4 port Switch->Roku Audio Streaming device

I have the two switches daisy chained due to the layout of my house and cabling constraints.  When I connect the Roku Audio streaming device directly to the 300GNH all is well.  When I connect the Roku Audio streaming device via the two daisy chained switches I get serious rebuffering of content on the Roku unit and it is unusable.

Are there any adjustments to make to the  300GNH so that it will "play nicely" with the two daisy chained switches?  Bear in mind, all has worked well with this configuration when using a Linksys WRT54G.

Thanks!

Turns out the router had the older 1.72 firmware installed.  I updated it to the latest 1.74 and it cleared up the problem (as well as updating the wired connections to 1GB).
