Does anyone have update on this?

I tried to upgrade from Ver.1.79 and the same invalid firmware. Mine is B0 C0, too.

Thanks

Same here, I cant seem to get the Buffalo DD-WRT to install. I have re-initialized my firmware and tried mutliple times, with no success.

Current version : Ver.1.76 (R2.01/B1.07)

Btw, I installed to the newest Alpha of DD-WRT on the Buffalo site, with no problems...

Hello everyone ;)

Is anyone using the WZR-HP-G300NH_pro-v24sp2-19484-beta on this device, just checking if is working "stable" and if this firmware has the samba GUI on it ?

Hey thanks.

I'm going to give it a try this weekend, and see if this firmware works fine on my hardware.

P.S: One thing I notice is that the file I'm downloading (the zip), it says its modifed on this date(specified below), so this would make it like a new beta realease?

file info from FTP:

I just updated to V24-SP2 build 19484 beta and all seemed to work well.  I like the change to the NAS with adding samba.  I connected my NTFS drive and it read it with no issues. Glad i dont have to reformat my drive anymore.  One issue i noticed is when I connect 2 machines to the ports on the router, they are unable to see each other.  Ping does not resolve, neither does \\pc-name\sharefolder.  Anyone have this issue and if so, any solution?

Thanks,

RC

Is Buffalo aware of the issue where  wired LAN clients are unable to see each other and is there an eta when a fix will be released?

I know this is a bug but it would be nice if this can become a feature like a port based VLAN when needed

No, they probably aren't aware of it, as it would seem you to be the only one with the issue, i can see my LAN clients fine, wired or wireless. Also for the record, switch ports are all bridged, regardless of even if there is a working firmware or not (i use 2 bricked units for dumb switches now) switch ports are un-managed and are all a pass thru to each other, they are only managed when you config the firmware in the router to manage them. So as i said, it would appear that you are the only one with this issue that i have seen report it...

buddee, are you using wzrhpg300nh-pro-v24sp2-19484-beta? Try having your wired LAN pc ping another wired LAN pc and see if you get a response.

You don't seem to get what i'm saying here, it doesn't matter what build i'm using, switches (yes the wired physical LAN ports) are all connected (bridged) as a pass thru to each other, even if there is NO build on the unit whatsoever. switch lan ports are not managed in any way unless you specify the firmware to manage them. So i would say its in either your LAN setup (some kind of blocking app such as firewall or not mapped out correctly in your LAN setup with active shares, you don't have the gateway IP entered into the client machine etc.) or something other, but i am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the actual physical port mappings themselves.. as i said, i can see both my wired and wireless machines just fine. Also as i said, don't you find it rather odd that you are the only one with this issue? No one else has reported this kind of finding..

Buddee, Ping works from wireless cliento to a wired client and vice versa. But if you try wired to wired client, no ping response.  That is why I was asking you whether you tried a wired to wired client ping. If you read the another post like badrc, he also has the same issue.

I transfer files from wired to wired LAN connections quite frequently, as i said, i don't have an issue with wired to wired clients on my g300nh, as far as just doing a ping is concerened, no, i never checked to see if there is a response from wired to wired machines, i always figured if i can transfer files from one wired machine to another, a ping test becomes pretty irrelavant.. because you can have a firewall setting that will block ICMP ping requests..

Sorry buddee, but this is definitely a problem. Neither the latest Buffalo firmware, nor the latest brainslayer firmware, will allow me to connect with my other machines wired to the network. Never had an issue before. Looks like I'll be rolling back until this is fixed.
