WBMR-G300N, DHCP server problem
« on: January 13, 2010, 07:28:28 AM »

Hello.

I just bought WBMR-G300N and I have a problem with the DHCP server.

DCHP server is enabled in settings. Starting IP address is set to 192.168.11.100 and maximum users is 100. I have added the MAC addresses of my devices, such as couple of network drives, a printer etc., to "DHCP reserved IP list" and enabled them. Nevertheless the router does not give the devices the right IP addresses. It just gives them some random addresses, from range 100-199.

The devices are not visible in DHCP client table (Diagnostic -> Local Network) nor in the ARP/RARP table. Because the DHCPs IP assigning does not work correctly I have manually configured the IP addresses from the devices.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

Is Buffalo tech. going to update the firmware for this product? I think such thing hasn't been done yet? My FW is V1.01
