Can’t be configured because AOSS is disabled
« on: July 01, 2009, 09:47:52 AM »

Hi, what does this mean? I'm trying to set up AP with these models trying to use the AOSS button without any luck. I have the WHR-G300N and WHR-G54S.

Here is what is on the 300N "Encryption Type of Excusive SSID for WEP" Can’t be configured because AOSS is disabled

And here is what G54S is saying "Encryption Type" 802.11g - N/A; - AOSS is not active

Can I activate the AOSS some how. And can these be connected together Wirelessly.

To turn AOSS on, simply log into the web interface and go to Wireless Config> AOSS

Though I do not think what you are trying to do will work! To connect a G54 to another Buffalo router, the other router would also need to support WDS (Wireless Distrobution System) which your other router (G300N) does not support. So the only other way to use it as an AP would be ethernet.
