I am puzzled by this problem:
I can't make any downloads with FTP from the Internet.
I am running Windows XP SP3, which is connected to the Internet via a Buffalo WZR-AGL300NH router.
I use F-Secure Internet Security 2010 (which has a firewall); the Windows Firewall is disabled, and so is its associated service "Windows Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)".
I have already defined a rule in F-Secure to let pass FTP ports 20&21, active and passive, in and out, and have defined a rule for port forwarding in the Buffalo router:
Port Forwarding Registration Information
Group: FTP
Internet Side IP Address: AirStation’s Internet IP Address
LAN Side IP Address: 192.168.11.2
Protocol/LAN Side Port:
FTP (TCP Port: 20-21)
FTP (TCP Port: 20-21)
Nevertheless, no luck in making any connection:
C:\Temp>ftp ftp.funet.fi
Verbindung mit ftp.funet.fi wurde hergestellt.
Verbindung beendet durch Remotehost.
C:\Temp>ftp ftp.perl.org
Verbindung mit ftp.cpan.ddns.develooper.com wurde hergestellt.
Verbindung beendet durch Remotehost.
In other words, it first confirms it is "connected" and then the connection is reset by the peer, after a timeout (about 60 seconds or so).
It used to work before I installed the Buffalo router two days ago.
Any ideas on what I'm missing?
Thank you!
