The model number is WLI-CB-G54S

 

Problem:     I restarted my computer and went to download the required driver to reinstall the adapter

             since i misplaced my install disc, can anyone explain how to reinstall it with the files that come in

             the download...

 

also to save anyone the trouble i get these files when i download the windows driver version

 

3      .INF  files

1      .SYS file 

1      .CAT file, this cant be opened...is says  "This file is invalid for use as the following: Security Catalog.

If you ever have a problem like that I suggest you just go to our support/download section and get it off of there.

What is the it in the above

 

I got the Windows driver files (as opposed to Vista). The files are as described by the OP. They are not recognised by Windows XP as driver files.
