Buffalo-WZR-HP-G300NH with long ethernet output
« on: May 07, 2009, 01:54:15 PM »

I am consulting on the renovation of a large home for a client, and would like to use the wired ethernet output of a WZR-HP-G300NH  router to connect to a computer located in a panic room that is somewhat remote from the router.

Wireless connection is not possible. I expect the Ethernet cable will be 150-175 feet long.

With that length of cable, will the output signal from the router be strong enough to successfully connect the computer?

Will there be any degradation of the throughput because of that long connection?
