Actually, installing firmware posted in a different region does not violate laws, it merely voids the warranty. The legal problem stems from running a radio device in a different country than it was sold in.

   I got an error (data not valid) when I tried to install this firmware. After that, the router restart in 80 seconds with the old firmware :-(

Does anybody installed this firmware successfully?

Original US firmware 1.60 is now available on the US site. Keep in mind, firmware is only supported for the region in which the device was purchased.

This firmware (that was already announced severl days ago in this thread) seems not working.

 

Did you test it before publishing on line?
