ETA on WZR2-G300N firmware?
« on: March 11, 2009, 03:38:41 PM »
Wondering if anyone from Buffalo knows whether there is a fw update in the works for the WZR2-g300n? I am finding that I have to restore to factory settings every couple of months after making no changes to the settings during that time.

When the router is set to Auto Channel it will search for thechannel receiving the least interference. If the interference is equalall around, the device will keep cycling through the different channelsand you will have trouble connecting.

To fix the the problem, try setting it to a static channel. This way, the device will not cycle through the different channelsconstantly.  Channel I recommend is 6,11.

answer to your 1st question: the only version that is out there for N.A. models which is 1.26.

2nd post: i can connect to the router fine, it just does not get a proper IP address from the modem until i reset to factory settings. it is the ONLY thing that works. if i restore to the previous settings from the 'restore' file, it stops working. so i have to reset to factory and manually input all the settings. this is a router bug. it needs a firmware update!

Do you use DHCP Dynamic IP?  It always has problem with DHCP Static to work with a cable modem.
