Connection problems with a WLI-U2-G300N
« on: January 25, 2009, 10:11:25 AM »

Greetings,

I just hooked up a new USB wireless N network device and the installation appeared to go smoothly, I'm connected, lots of signal (4-5 bars) but it is BARELY working.

The machine is XP and I have the device conected through an older version USB port.  The machine is about 7 years old and I just recently was using a US Robotics USB network device and it was fine until we upgraded the router from a G to an N and then the UR Robotics device caused my computer to constantly reboot.  So I now have this device, it "kinda" works, but not really.

I have the latest driver and I'm running the Client server 3.0.

HELP?

try to uninstall the wireless connection in the control panel >add remove programs. after a reboot windows should be controlling the wireless connection and see if the device works any better.
