I got that same problem in Japan. the hardest part is trying to read the manuals in Kanji. Its impossible. There are tens of thousands of English speakers here form all aver the globe; you would thing everything would be bi-lingual in English; assuming Japan wants to compete with S Korea globally?...

I have a tough one. I have a WHR-HP-G300N. I was noticing speed issues with my Internet connection, but when connected directly to the cable modem, they went away. I said, let's try upgrading the firmware from Buffalo version 1.7 to DD-WRT WHR-HP-G300N Professional Firmware V24-SP2 build 19154. The firmware seemed to flash correctly, but there is no response from 192.168.11.1. More correctly described, Chrome returns this response: Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

Command line request to 192.168.11.1 also fails to get a response.

I am using a wired connection to a LAN port on the router.

I have a new IP lease 192.168.11.146, and the default gateway and DHCP servers show as 192.168.11.1.

I don't think that it died during the firmware upgrade because the box is routing and I can connect to the Internet. A factory reset only reset my IP address and the network name.

Any Idea how I can get to the configuration / log in screen?
