Can I use WLA-G54C as a wireless client adapter?
« on: November 23, 2008, 10:30:38 AM »

I want to hook up my WLA-G54C as a WLAN interface for a desktop computer that does not have wireless capability.

1.  If I use an ethernet cable to connect the G54C to the desktop computer, will the computer be able to connect to my existing WLAN?

2.  Do I have to set Bridge and/or WDS modes?

       A.  If yes, do I have to set it on just the G54C or on BOTH the G54C AND the router?

       B.  If I don't have to set Bridge and/or WDS modes on either device and I do connect, what do I have to do to be sure that the connected computer is secured to the same extent as the other computers that connect wirelessly to my router?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Yes it will work if the other device can support a compatible version of WDS.
