If you are in the US you should be using 1.26, also try different channels and check for other devices that could cause interference (cordless phones, wireless alarms, any 2.4g wireless devices)

Paul

I bought it in the UK and am using it in the Uk. No same frequency device around. Any suggestions? Perhaps on the configuration end? NOte: it is slow both via wireless and when i use the router through a cable.

A configuration would not slow down the LAN.  I personally would default the router and force a firmware flash.
