Normal Speed for File Transfer
« on: November 09, 2012, 12:01:37 PM »

Hello Guys,

this is my first day with Linkstation NAS. After installation, i tried to backup a 20Gb, and i'm bit surprised that the speed 'only' 9-11Mb/s ,

i'm not in Gigabit environtment... my switch 10/100, i'm using CAT 5 cable... is it normal ?

anything i can optimize to speed up things ?

Ok, the quickest way is to link the Terrastation directly to your PC and transfer a large file and compare the speed.

The soul reason I am telling this Because it is an elimination process, Find the bottle neck and fix it job.

9-11MB/sec on a 10/100 network is to be expected.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
