Can't access web interface on TS-XE8.0TL/R5

Hi,

 

I can't access the web interface anymore on my Terastation Pro III TS-XE8.0TL/R5. The firmware was 1.55. After I discovered I could not access the web interface anymore, I successfully upgraded to FW 1.57. The data is accessible and the NasNavigator software is detecting both static IP addresses correctly. Scheduled backup jobs are running fine too.

 

I hope you get me a quick solution. Thanks.

When you say you can not access terrastation, where does it stop you , any error messages? Also this link might help

Hi, Thanks for your quick reply. I get an error message in the browser (chrome): Fout 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT)

First try another browser, also any error/info messages on the nas navigator?

yep, IE 9 doesn't open the web interface eather. After a while it returns a search in google for the IP address.

Ok, Open the door of the TS and locate the Reset button( Underneath the LCD display) press and hold it untill screen starts flashing and/ or you hear a beep. It shout reset all the settings,(Your data is safe)

I will do that tomorrow. Not happy with that, there are a lot of settings I have to make again...

 you can try force firmware update(Debug) if you wish FAQ(2OF5) see if works before reset

Go the easy route first. See if your Java is up to date and remove older versions of Java.
That did it for me after a firmware upgrade

Great, resetting did the job. The only things I had to change were the admin password and IP adresses. All users, shares and scheduled backup jobs remained. Thanks!
